Community Events

The Historical Society sponsors a number of events for the community each year. Everyone is welcome to attend, and everyone is even more welcome to help. However, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, many of the Hulmeville Historical Society events may be reformatted to minimize person-to-person contact. If you have any questions or concerns, contact Marce Heald at 215-629-6201.

Below is a listing of some upcoming events, as well as any special work details or events scheduled.

Soup-Off

Saturday, March 2, 4-6:30 p.m., at Neshamony UMC, 325 Main Street

It’s been four years since the COVID pandemic caused the first cancellation of our annual Soup-Off event but this year we’re making a comeback.

The Hulmeville Historical Society and the Neshamony United Methodist Church are once again partnering to host the Hulmeville Soup-Off. Proceeds from the event will be used to support the many activities and events the HHS provides in the community. This year’s event will be held at the Neshamony United Methodist Church on Main Street on Saturday, March 2nd from 4-6:30 pm.

Admission is $7 + 1 can of soup per each adult; $3 + 1 can of soup for children 6-12; children under 6 are admitted free of charge. All cans of soup collected will be donated to a local foodbank.

We need community members to enter their favorite soups. Entry forms are included with this Newsletter. The menu will include a tasting of as many soups as you want, salad bar desserts and beverages. Donations of desserts from HHS members and community members are needed.
